FIRST LEGO League (FLL) offers an opportunity for middle school students to design, build and compete with a robot constructed of LEGOs and to create and deliver a 5 minute research presentation on the annual competition theme. Our inaugural Louisiana Regional Championship was held in 2003 with 15 teams and expanded to over 100 teams in the state with 9 qualifying tournaments leading to the Regional Championship in 2013. The 2014 theme is "World Class: Learning Unleashed" and deals with education. We are in the process of updating our website, but in the meantime, see below for important 2014 season registration and dates.
2014 National team registration will open on Monday, May 5 at 11:00 AM!
Don't wait until the last minute! Registration does not have an end date, it stays open until all the LEGO Field Set Up Kits are gone. Last year registration closed September 18th.
There are some significant changes in the FLL national registration process this year. Teams will be registering in the Team Information Management System (TIMS) and, as part of a new initiative called the FIRST Youth Protection Program (YPP), FLL teams will now be required to have two registered coaches who will receive background checks.
Detailed information regarding registration can be found in our Team Portal: How Do I Register?.
